Another segment of my 12 Healthy Chocolate Dessert Series!! This is my favorite protein bites recipe. A tried & true snack that passes as healthy but tastes good enough to replace your dessert! So who wouldn’t love this recipe? Not to mention they are quick and easy – and they require no cooking or baking of course. I could easily finish off the whole batch myself!! These are so addictive and yes they do taste like a treat. They remind me of something like a granola bar and even more so of a peanut butter oatmeal cookie dough. They make for a great snack or even grab a few for a PRE-WORKOUT snack.
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2/3 cup unsweetened coconut
- 1/2 cup raw honey
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup ground flax seed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 TBSP cinnamon
Combine all ingredients & chill for 20 minutes. Roll into balls & store in an airtight container in fridge.
*Adding a scoop of your favorite protein powder or shakeology would be a great way to boost the protein!
